Ουμπίλικος ο πετρόβιος

Etymology of Umbilicus rupestris: "Umbilicus" in Latin means "belly button", a reference to the appearance of its leaves that have the shape of a belly button. The new Latin adjective "rupestris" means "that lives or rocks", and refers to its habitat, as it loves growing on walls and other rocky ground; it comes from Latin "rupes" which means "rock".

There are two Umbilicus kinds (two species) in the nature of Cyprus, of which one is endangered to extinction.
