Poterium verrucosum
Ποτήριο το κονδυλωματοκαλυμμένο
“Poterion” in ancient Greek means “tumbler” and “verrucosus” in Latin means “covered with warts”. There are two Poterium species in Cyprus. This one is encountered all around the island except in Paralimni and Karpasia regions, at an altitude of up to 925 metres. On the contrary, the other species exists on Troodos, at an altitude of 1525 metres.
