Episkopi existed at least since the Venetian Rule

According to the Ottoman taxation archives of 1572¹M. Akif Erdoğru - Population and agricultural productions in the district of Paphos (Baf) of Cyprus in 1572, Archivum Ottomanicum 32 (2015), Episkopi existed during that year as a small to medium village, which included 26 non-Muslim inhabited houses.
