There are 8 species of Geranium in the Cyprus habitat. This one flowers from February till May. Its flowers resemble somehow to the ones of the Erodium species. “Purpureum” in Latin means “violet”. It grows up to 40cm. It grows all around Cyprus except in the Nicosia and Morphou regions, at an altitude of up to 1220 metres.
