A Vicia naturalized in Cyprus but not invasive and not endemic. It grows in southern Cyprus and Kerynia reagion on an altitude of up to 600 metres. In the past, Cyprots used to cultivate this plant as a food for their animals. Hence, “sativa” in Latin means “cultivated”.
