There’s only one Spartium species in Cyprus, Spartium junceum, which is not endemic, naturalized and non invasive. Spartium junceum in Cyprus it is encountered only in the foothills of the Troodos region, at an altitude of maximum 950 metres. It beats a plentiness of vivid yellow flowers that bloom mostly during April and May. It is often found at roadsides.
