Σκαβιόζα η νεογεννητοφόρα
Etymology of Scabiosa prolifera: "Scabiosa", the name of the genus derives from Medieval Latin "scabiosus", meaning "scabious", alluding to the plant’s supposed ability to cure cutaneous diseases and as remedies for relief from scabies. "Prolifera" derives from Latin "proles" [offspring] and "fero" [I bear].
There are five Scabiosa kinds/species in the Cypriot habitat.
