Named “Anthemis” after the ancient Greeks and Romans. “Cotula” in latin means “small cup”. This species is recognised by its (larger) size and its leaves.

Named “Anthemis” after the ancient Greeks and Romans. There are around 11 Anthemis species in Cyprus. This one is encountered all around Cyprus except for the Karpasia and the Kerynia regions, at an altitude of up to 1525 metres. What distinguishes one Anthemis species from another are its leaves.
