Ophrys argolica subsp. elegans
Όφρυς της αργολίδας υποείδος η κομψή
It is according to the flora scientists the only argolica species in Cyprus, hence, due to the patern on the lip and the long petals it’s easy to be recognised. It is popular, found in all the regions of Cyprus except for that of Paralimni. It is often found undercistus, Pistacia lentiscus, cypressus and pine trees. Flowering time between January and March. Altitude about up to 500 metres.
