Λαγοέκια η κυμινοειδής
Etymology of Lagoecia cuminoides: The etymology of "Lagoecia" is unknown. "Cuminoides" comes from Modern Greek "κυμινοειδές" for "cuminoid".
This is the one and only Lagoecia species that is found in Cypriot nature. It is an annual herb growing up to 40 cm high, neither common nor rare in the Cypriot habitat. Lagoecia cuminoides exists in all the districts of Cyprus and it is encountered up to an altitude of 1025 metres. Lagoecia cuminoides mostly grows on stony hillsides, cultivated fields, and roadsides. Its flowering period is from March until May.
